Therefore, there is unlikely to be any visible erosion of the gold within a normal lifespan. Another advantage is that they are easily repaired as they are unaffected by heat. The term gold filled is often used instead of rolled gold. Credit for the invention made about one hundred years ago must go to the jewellery industry.
